Through our work, we strive to connect and bring people together. We believe that bringing together people who might otherwise never meet can have of enriching lives (those of the clinic, the clinician, patients, and the community) by drawing on this untapped potential.
In today's faster-paced gig economy, those of us who want less hassle and more flexibility with where and when we want to work, should be able to do it without sacrificing the quality of the care we provide or compromising on the environment in which we provide it. For clinics, we should be able to select the best candidate, given our current needs.
We're working hard to create and continously optimize PTShyft, so that it can enable rather than hinder your search for a position or candidate.
After finishing PT school, I did travel PT for a while and worked with a few staffing companies. While the recruiters were nice, I got the impression that they were concerned with maximizing profits and not necessarily looking after my best interests. They would sooner put me somewhere just so I had an assignment, rather than make sure it would be a good fit.
As a clinic owner, I felt I had very little to no control over who would come in to cover for our vacations and maternity leaves. We were dependent on the staffing company hopefully sending someone who could quickly pick up our system and give good care to our patients and this was in spite of paying high fees for their recruitment services.
I wondered if there was another way for clinics and PTs to find each other and ask all the important questions of one another first, and then decide if they can work together. I set out to create what would eventually become PTShyft with the intention of giving both clinicians and clinic owners a platform with more control over where they work and who comes into their clinic. I hope that you find this service useful.
